Meeting of 23 June 2011

President Suzie brought the (her last) meeting to order at 12:30 PM. The Pledge was led by Marty Judge. The Invocation was given by Don Glover. The Greeter, Carl Hoffman introduced the guests, as there were no visiting Rotarians: Charley's guest Krisitn Kurtz and Phil Jones, Vern's wife, Jeanene, and Dave's guest, Ralph Tote. The Welcome Song was ably led by Larry Valente. Volunteers were: Scribe, Kathleen Smith; Set-up, Paul Donick and Bill Bonner; Music, John Hawkins.
Charley Crew presented a Club Foundation check to Kristin Kurtz of "Voices For Children".
The Club helps member Bob Krejci celebrate his birthday -- on June 4 Bob turned 98!
John O'Neill introduced club members with June birthdays -- especially Bob Krejci who turned 98! Thanks to Sandie Dewane for the cake from Belmont Village.
John O'Neill collected fines and happy bucks from Mira, Larry, Marty, Jim, Dave, Don, Tom , Dan, Troy, Bob (Wells and Krejci), Arilla, Vern, Lynn and John - whew!
The Program was given by Rob Sidnar, Director of Mingei Museum in Balboa Park. Vern presented him with a book for BHMS.
Suzie gave a tearful thanks to all for a great year and closed the meeting at 1:30 reminding all that next week is dark due to the demotion party at 6:00 PM.
