Scholarship Program
Only For Rancho Bernardo High School Students
The Rotary Club of Rancho Bernardo awards scholarships annually to selected students in the community attending Rancho Bernardo High School. To be eligible, a student must be a graduating senior at RBHS during the current school year.
Deadline for Applications: March 1, 2010.
Scholarships awarded to students going on to a 4-year college, community college, or a trade or technical school:
-
$2,000: Franklin J. Neuberger Scholarship based on academic merit and overall school performance.
-
$1,500: Lewis and Margaret Barger Scholarship based on financial need and academic merit.
-
$1,000: Two or three R. B. Rotary Club Foundation Scholarships based on school and community service, academic merit, and financial need. Preference is given to RBHS Interact Club students.
-
Presidential Freedom Scholarships: For these scholarships, students must take the responsibility to apply directly to the high school counselor. These scholarships – up to $500 each – may be granted to students who have already been awarded the above Rotary Scholarships. Applying to the school counselor for Presidential Freedom Scholarships is necessary because they are not Rotary Scholarships.
