Gina Gianzero- League of Women's Voters of SD

Evening Mtg -

Nov 06, 2025

Topic:

Democracy in America, Understanding and Responding to the Challenges is a new presentation by the League of Women Voters of San Diego. During this non-election year, we believe that this is an important moment in the history of our country for people to understand

·         how democracy and the balance of power work,

·         how fundamental rights are impacted by executive orders and actions,

·         how current litigation is an important arena for resolving disagreement, and

·         what advocacy can and should be done by citizens and voters

Speaker DGE Luis Carranza

Lunch Mtg -

Nov 13, 2025

He would also like to meet with your board informally for about 20 minutes before or after your meeting, just to hear from board members and learn how the district can support your club.

As District Governor of Rotary District 5340, I have the honor of serving alongside a diverse and dedicated team of leaders who believe in the power of service, collaboration, and community. Rotary is more than an organization — it is a global movement of people of action, united by the common goal of creating lasting impact both locally and globally.
Over my 20+ years in Rotary, I’ve had the privilege of leading, mentoring, and building bridges across cultures and generations. Rotary has sharpened my skills in leadership, team-building, public speaking, fundraising, strategic planning, and community engagement. More importantly, it has taught me how to lead with heart — to inspire, to uplift, and to listen.

Luis Rogelio Carranza is honored to serve as the 2025-2026 District Governor for
Rotary District 5340, which encompasses San Diego and Imperial Counties, a
region rich in diversity, culture, and Rotary spirit. Luis is a passionate and
dedicated Rotarian with over 20 years of service. A proud member of the Rotary
Club of Rancho Santa Fe, he has served as Club President and chaired their
signature fundraising event, the Taste of Rancho Santa Fe.
Luis served as an Assistant Governor for five years, supporting two key areas,
Area 4 and Area 8. In 2023, he chaired the Rotary Foundation Fundraiser for both
District 5340 and Rotary Zone 26/27, bringing together Rotarians from across the
western United States.
Professionally, Luis is a Senior Loan Consultant for PrimeLending with over 20
years’ experience in the mortgage industry, helping individuals and families
achieve the dream of homeownership — a role that mirrors his dedication to
building stronger communities. Personally, Luis enjoys music, travel, family life,
and celebrating the cultural richness of our beautiful binational region.
Luis’s theme for his District Governor year is inspired by Rotary’s call to
“Unite for Good” and by his message: “Don’t Miss the Bus”, a call to action for
Rotarians to embrace every opportunity to serve, lead, and create lasting change.

Evening Mtg - Creative Thinking

Dec 04, 2025
In a world that expects constant innovation, too many are stuck using mental models built for yesterday’s problems. I help audiences unlock unconventional thinking and powerful creative breakthroughs using an approach that combines business, art, and AI, leveraging 13 years of work experience across tech, marketing, and product leadership. As a TEDx speaker, long-time Toastmaster, author, and SD native, I’d love to bring this engaging, interactive talk to members of the Rotary Club of Rancho Bernardo—helping them reframe challenges and discover bold new pathways to growth, creative satisfaction, and success in whatever they do. Would you be open to exploring if this might be a good fit for your next speaker event? I look forward to connecting. As a burned-out college dean, she quits her job to teach 200 students in the ancient walled city of Xi'an, China.   Good A-V presentation.  Interesting story as she lived in China during Covid with lockdowns,  closed consulates, and expelled journalists.    She finds a way to communicate with her students.
